Well explained and communicated. Absolutely roads will be a key voting issue/agenda. The very reason many councillors will not be re-elected in my view. The LEP must definitely be updated to be fair and equitable. Ludicrous regulations when it comes to building granny flats and dual occupancy on larger properties and land. Sewage another key issue.We pump sullage in 2024 on Terrace Road Freemans reach 5 minutes from a shopping complex. Why? Infrastructure has let Hawkesbury residents down and for no reason if planned and progressed efficiently and effectively.

Thank you for all you do for the Hawkesbury. We are inundated with flood alerts, this is not a bad thing, however, I was surprised that the was no warning about the water release from Warragamba dam early Saturday morning and hence bridge closures. Perhaps a lesson learnt?

Not sure what you meant about Yarramundi Lagoon by “this is new suspect drainage patterns have changed” what you showed was a turf field under water from the lagoon which always rises and covers the lagoon bridge to varying degrees - nothing to do with and changes in drainage. All the rain run off from all the area runs into the lagoon and always has.

Jennifer McEvoy it is not all the properties that back onto the water way. Obviously if I have mentioned about the maintenance than ofcourse we have done our part in keeping ours clear of weeds and obstructions. Sadly the some properties I'm mentioning have alot and do 0 in the effort of maintaining it, in the years we have been here. I will be again reaching out to council as like I mentioned. This is the largest amount of water we have had in OUR YARD.

& some areas thar normally flood ok - Bennett Rd, off Blacktown rd; Rd beside oval at Pitt Town; properties along George St/Macquarie St S Windsor

The water authority and nsw government are solely responsible to the damage that will occur again along the Hawkesbury river again. I wonder how much it has cost us over the past 4 floods in 6 years already. These idiots including the nsw government #chris minns spent over $3.3 billion to support sustainability and the clean economy, however not willing to consider spending $2 billion in the future capturing more water in our Warragamba dam and saving thousands of people property, livelihoods and life’s’? There are so many more options to solve the issues, not just rising the same. In 2022 NSW government spent a record budget $112.7 billion on infrastructure, as well as a broad spectrum of measures to support families—including $7.2 billion to boost household budgets, $3.8 billion to give children the best start to life, and $3.3 billion to support sustainability and the clean economy. Not forget the Australia government willing to spend $368 billion on nuclear submarines . I’m at a lost what else we the people can do, as the governments not willing to listen to official government petitions signed by over 85O residents and numerous letters by local major and many other residents including over 15 letters from myself to various MPs. The Warragamba dam is in the to hard bucket and doesn’t mater who is in charge, nothing will change. Remember all the water captured in the Dam is money in the bank of the authorities and we have to pay for the water, plus the overspill damage by the dam. In 2023–24 the Australian Government will provide $4.77 billion in Official Development Assistance (ODA). Which will solve the Warragamba Dam issues twice in one year. It’s a shame, but the Hawkesbury is such a beautiful place with wonderful people, however our governments don’t give us a F.

Further update: I’ve just come off a half-hour conversation with the head of property maintenance at Telstra. They apologised for letting it slip off the radar, have committed to undertake maintenance on a monthly schedule, and are very, very open to granting permission for it to be a community garden. What they’ve asked for is a concept design. We need to find a landscape gardener prepared to draw one up. I’d also like to engage the Chamber of Commerce and local businesses to sponsor.

Many of us have been complaining to Telstra about that site for years. They come out and do a cleanup then leave it to overgrow until there's another complaint. There were suggestions made during the Town Centres consultations that council approach Telstra with a plan to utilise this area as public park space, but nothing was ever done on that score as far as I've been able to find out.

Do you think you get Telstra out to the front of my place where they ran the nbn and the pit had no drainage like the others in the street do. They all run down to the pig out front and the water overflows and floods the front of my place. As it is on the footpath not in my property they refuse to deal with me.

Back in the 90's I seem to remember it past to council for public use when Alan Eagle, (ex Telstra) was working with Richmond Chamber of Commerce? Beautifying the main st, as with all community voluntary activities, the personalities change and poor record and good ideas move on. Clearly the Councillors change and previous good ideas and actions fall by the wayside. What I want to know how you were able to talk to Telsta, they are not interested in the community since they went PRIVATE. (I think you missed an excellent opportunity to build on VACANT LAND???) Clearly the Council don't know what's going on

Council rubbish collection truck sunk in the middle of the road about 2 years ago, Hawkesbury Council solution was to put a road closed sign at each end of the road. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Can you get them to check the service at North Richmond around the shops and pub. Service used to be great in that area, but hasn’t been for 6months plus…

Telstra used to enter that garden in the Hawkesbury Spring Garden Competition and it was very photogenic. Camera Club members used to photograph it (and other gardens) ☺️

it was made a Community Garden in the 1980s Council and it’s partners reneged over time as people moved on and conveniently forgot to maintain it!

I am not a resident, but congratulations on job well done. Back in the 1960s I worked in the Police Station Court House building which was in good condition. It is quite a few weeks since I was there, but the building was a disgrace. Any chance of you chasing someone up on that? Rather than worry about private property you as a councillor should get your finger out and chase up things that are Councils responsibility, have a look at the footpath outside Windsor station, grass is 60 cm high, covering the foot path and a dirty great hole in the footpath that has been there for a month, the opposite side of the road was mowed by a private citizen as the paspalem was almost a metre high, maybe the GM and the mayor should get out of their ivory towers and get some thing happening.
