About me

Nathan in Richmond Players

Nathan is a life-long resident of the Hawkesbury and has lived in Oakville, Richmond, North Richmond and McGraths Hill. His roots in the district stretch back to the Third Fleet. Nathan has held a wide variety of community and advocacy positions including seven years as a leader of the Macquarie Youth Leadership Forum, and through local dramatic society the Richmond Players. As a secondary school teacher, Nathan has taught at most local high schools, and as an ethics teacher in local primary schools. Nathan’s passions include teaching critical thinking, studying civic engagement and what makes strong communities, anything to do with science, and is a self-confessed sci-fi, and computer geek. Having grown up in the area, and now raising a son as a single Dad, Nathan greatly values the rural amenity and heritage of the Hawkesbury district, and on Council will strive to preserve what makes our city so great to live in, while making it an innovative, prosperous and economically sustainable city.
